Windsor Park Neighborhood,
Below are the listed Part 1 crimes that occurred in the Windsor Park Neighborhood for the month of July 2023.
Residents of Eastway,
As many of you are aware there has been an increase of stolen vehicles in the Charlotte area specifically Hyundai and Kia vehicles. The Eastway Division has been able to obtain wheel locks to provide the residents of our communities to secure these targeted vehicles.
There are two requirements to obtain a wheel lock:
1. Be the owner of a Hyundai or Kia vehicle
2. Reside in the Eastway Division
Please make sure you bring your vehicle registration and driver’s license. If you would like a wheel lock or have any further questions, feel free to reach out to your community coordinators.
Safety In The Parking Lot
Park and walk in a well-lit area at night.
Always lock your car doors after leaving or entering your car.
Remove items such as telephones, iPod, purses, briefcase, backpacks, cash and even loose change each time you leave your vehicle.
Walk with confidence, be aware of people around you and know where you parked.
Have your car keys in hand so you don’t have to linger before entering your car. Check the back seat before you get in.
Encourage your family, friends, and co-workers to keep valuable out of their vehicles at home, work or while running errands.
