Regarding the predator who has been exposing himself to, stalking, and harassing women in our neighborhood:
If you or anyone you know has had a run-in with this man or who they think may be this man, please please please file a police report. Even if 911 was called, a police report is very important for record keeping. When you make your report, ask for the officer’s name and badge number. After 24 hours, a report number is generated. Call back and request this report number as well as a copy of your report. Call to follow up to see what has been done, put pressure on CMPD to act. Weekly, twice weekly, whatever you can. There have been multiple 911 calls and reports filed since May 2020 with very little to nothing being done by CMPD to protect the women in this neighborhood. We feel like we may finally have their ear and don’t want to lose steam.
Since the posting of the license plate and known incident list in the Windsor Park Residents Facebook group, even more women are speaking out about their similar experiences and calling in to report their experiences. There is power in numbers!!
Be aware of your surroundings, and please try not to walk alone. To my knowledge all incidents have been during the daytime. Happy to organize some group walks or group bike rides in the neighborhood if anyone is nervous to do so on their own. I work from home and have very open availability to make this possible.
As a refresher:
Description: Hispanic/Latino male likely in his 20s-30s, average build and height, dark hair.
He typically will park next to a house with large bushes/hedges and wait for a victim to approach (typically female, exercising alone) and expose himself to them. Has also been noted following and chasing women, and in one incident approaching a woman getting into her car in her driveway.
Has been seen with a black German shepherd, sometimes off-leash.
